Will there be Jobs in the Future?
- Employment for astronomers and physicists is expected to grow more slowly than average for all occupations through 2014.
The need to replace physicists and astronomers who retire or otherwise leave the occupation permanently will account for most expected job openings.
People with a bachelor's degree in astronomy or physics will not be qualified to enter most astronomy or physics research jobs.
There will be more opportunities for those will a Master's Degree
Most astronomers work at universities, large research and development laboratories, and observatories.
In conclusion, it would be wise for me to work at these places, too because I will have the highest probability to get and maintain a job.
